Unveiled to acclaim in 2023, Genesis Island solidified its status as the must-attend destination, providing exclusive "front-row" seats, large screens for action replays, live race commentary, gourmet catering, a premium open bar, and enthralling pre-and post-race entertainment.

With its unrivalled vantage point and premium hospitality offering, Genesis Island promises an immersive experience to witness all the adrenaline-pumping action of SailGP in 2024.

Global showdown in Sydney Harbour

SailGP 2024 marks the eighth leg of a thirteen-stop global championship, visiting iconic cities like San Francisco, New York, and Saint-Tropez. Sydney Harbour, for the fifth time, becomes the epicentre of this purpose-driven league, expecting a crowd of 20,000+ fans.

Enthusiasts will witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of teams racing on board the technologically advanced 50-foot F50 hydrofoiling catamarans, reaching breathtaking speeds of up to 100km/h.

All eyes are on Tom Slingsby and his Australian SailGP Team as they vie against nine rival nations to maintain their pole position on the SailGP Season 4 leaderboard.

Unveiling Genesis X Convertible concept at the SailGP Village

Adding to the allure of SailGP, Genesis Motors is thrilled to debut its showstopper – Genesis X Convertible Concept vehicle at the SailGP Village in Barangaroo. 

An Australian first, this avant-garde masterpiece represents the future of luxury driving, pushing boundaries with its sleek, aerodynamic silhouette and commitment to sustainable, electrified performance. 

Unveiling the pinnacle of automotive elegance, the X Convertible seamlessly marries athletic sophistication with cutting-edge electric innovation. Beyond its exterior allure, the X Convertible Concept provides a harmonious blend of power and style, redefining the essence of driving. 

Positioned along the Barangaroo Esplanade with Sydney Harbour as its backdrop, this visionary design promises a sensory masterpiece to SailGP attendees and the public who will inspect it firsthand.

Open from 12pm on race days, The SailGP Village is the pre-and-post race hub, offering exciting programming for fans including F50 displays, Q&As and interactive programming with SailGP athletes. Genesis’ flagship electric SUV, the GV60 will put its innovative Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature to work by powering the high-energy DJ booth and refreshments stand to elevate the vibrant race day ambiance.

Shade and comfortable seating will transform the SailGP Village, providing Genesis Island attendees and the public with an enjoyable space to relish the Sydney summer. Guests can immerse themselves in the race action inside the Genesis Departure Lounge with a large screen displaying the racing plus exclusive onboard footage of the Australia team.
